La Pastora is proud to be part of the sponsorship of Rom Radio’s documentary project “Yo estuve allí”.
It is a historical audiovisual in which La Pastora looks back on what has happened throughout the 40 years of democracy in Murcia in the Paprika sector. Why? Because the first mill of paprika was registered in 1756 and the first exporters in 19th century were from Espinardo (Murcia, the city where La Pastora is based)
Therefore, the Murcia’s paprika sector should be spoken of with admiration and respect. Around 1900, 80% of Murcia’s orchards worked Paprika and under the canopy of our Romea theatre, brokers, sellers and buyers of ground Paprika met in what they called our paprika market.
